Resting in the mid-western region of Nepal (officially known as the Karnali region), this freshwater lake is known as the virgin blue lake and is the largest in Nepal. In fact, the snow-capped mountains and amazingly beautiful green hills at the backdrop make this place all the more beautiful.

Also, coming to describing the beauty of this park, an aerial view of which is part of your helicopter tour – this domain hosts some of the myriad flora and fauna of the world, truly a sight to behold for one’s eyes. Established in 1976, this park hosts more than 1000 species with specified 16 species that are endemic to Nepal.

The lake itself hosts endemic species –Rara Snow Trout, Nepalese Snow Trout, and Rara Lake Frog. Additionally, this place is known for its winter specialty in the form of –Northern Shoveler, Mallard, Tufted Duck, Solitary Snipe, Common Coot, and Gadwall – a few water birds to name.
