Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is also sometimes referred to as Annapurna Sunrise Trek owing to the magnificent sunrise view from Poon Hill at around 3210 m. The real magical moment is when the darkness is shallowed by light and in front of you lies the massive rock gaint of Mt Annapurna.
Poon Hill Treks offers something stunning & unique, whether that be snow-tipped mountain ranges of the Annapurna region, or endless grasslands, dense rhododendron forests that stretch as far as your eye can see which seemingly never ends. A hot cup of coffee or tea on top of this hill along with other fellow travelers is the table talk of nature-lovers who have been here before.
This trail leads you to the finest Himalayan location of the Annapurna region; is a short one - best for beginners as the trails are well defined and not much walk is required. Our trekking trail passes through dense rhododendron forest with chirping birds passing villages like Ghorepani, Ulleri, Ghandruk where you get a true picture of Nepalese life and lets you understand the bonding between different ethnic groups living together. Gurungs and Magars are the major inhabitants of this region.
The trek starts from Pokhara and can be ended either at Pokhara or Beni to finally drive to Kathmandu.
