4500m Mardi Himal Base camp
Private and comfortable drive/ scenic flight.
Mar-May and Sep-Nov
Mardi Himal Short Trek is designed for those trekkers who want to explore the less explored Himalayas. The trek duration is comparatively longer so, this trip is perfect for those trekkers who are fit and constantly have trekked to the Base Camps previously.
Mardi Himal is a less traveled trekking trail in Nepal but it is a hidden Gem standing with the height of 5587 meters. Though it is a mountain peak below 6000 meters, its beauty is eye-catching and mesmerizing. It lies 20 kilometers North to Pokhara and to the Southernmost part of Annapurna Mountain Range. There are plenty of Rhododendron and Bamboo forests on the trail to Mardi Himal and the surrounding valleys. The route to Mardi Himal gives you the best view of Mt. Machhapuchhre and other mountain ranges including the stupendous Mt. Annapurna. The route has been newly introduced to the trekkers, in the year 2012. Before that, it was not open to foreign climbers.
Mardi Himal Short trek has been designed especially for those trekkers who have limited time but still want to conquer the Base Camp Trek to the mountains lying in the Annapurna Range. The trek starts from Pokhara to Pitam Deurali where you take rest overnight. The second day you trek to Mardi Himal Low Camp, then, to High Camp and Base Camp on third and fourth day respectively. You then trek back to Low Camp to Sidhing and finally back to Pokhara. The walking distance is shorter in comparison to other trekking routes in Nepal.
There is a limited number of guest houses and tea houses, but you even have an option to stay at a camp.
(Note: You may either shorten or lengthen the trek duration as per your convenience and time availability.)
