Mardi Himal Short Trek Overview
Mardi Himal has been well known to those who love the outdoors and like to camp among the elements. A limited number of tea houses have been established throughout the trail that allow trekkers to have a comfy, warm resting place and can enjoy well-prepared meals without having to cook for themselves.
These 6 days Mardi Himal Short Trek goes through the lesser-traveled routes of the Annapurna region. Located towards the east of the Annapurna Base Camp and sitting virtually at the base of Mount Fishtail, the captivating wilderness and charming nature will surely be able to etch a permanent mark on your heart.
This short trek package is designed for those trekkers having limited time and want to explore the least explored Mardi Himal Base Camp, plus want to have some taste of the Annapurna region.
Mardi Himal (peak) is truly a hidden gem, standing at 5587 meters. Though it is a mountain peak below 6000 meters, its beauty is eye-catching and mesmerizing. It lies 20 kilometers north of Pokhara and in the southernmost part of the Annapurna mountain range.
There are plenty of rhododendron and bamboo forests on the trail and in the surrounding valleys. The route gives you the best view of Mt. Machhapuchhre and stupendous Mt. Annapurna.
Mardi Himal Short Trek Route
Our trek starts from Pokhara to Pitam Deurali, where you take a rest overnight. On the second day, you trek to low camp, then to Mardi high camp and base camp on the third and fourth day, respectively.
You then trek back to low camp to Siding and finally back to Pokhara. The walking distance is shorter in comparison to other trekking routes in Nepal. There is a limited number of guest houses and tea houses, but you also have an option to stay at a camp( on request with extra cost).

Accommodation
Himalayan Trekkers promises to manage the best, most comfortable, and preferred accommodation. Generally, in cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara, we arrange basic three-star facilities. If available, you can opt for a more budget-friendly option or upgrade to a more luxurious hotel by paying a little extra.
Although not all the places might have all the modern facilities, we will make sure to arrange safe and comfortable accommodation. In general, hygienic and safe tea houses/local lodges/home-stays with all the basic facilities are arranged. But you can, if possible, personalize according to your preference.
If your itinerary includes camping or you choose to experience camping during your travel, a proper camping site will be pre-decided. If required, we also provide the basic equipment, which is refundable. Please check the Gear-List for more information.
Meals
Breakfast is usually included with your B&B Accommodation within the cost that is evident. For other meals in the city, you would have to pay separately. Often in the cities, you can choose from many different cuisines and varied food services. We can always help you find the right place to fit your taste.
In more remote areas, usually, there are not many options. But you can always find hygienic and well-prepared food. Moreover, almost all the meals during the trek are included in the cost. We can help you make changes according to your preference and budget, but only if choices are available! On top of that, Himalayan Trekkers also organizes Welcome or Farewell Dinners as a symbol of warm greetings. Please go through the detailed itinerary for more information. We are always there to help you travel to your heart’s content.
