The Khayar Lake with Khopra Danda Trek is 2 week fulfilled adventure in the least visited part of the Annapurna Mountain region. If you have done trekking around Annapurna before and if you are looking for a new trekking trail in Annapurna region, this might be your trip. This Khayar Lake with Khopra Danda Trek starts around the Annapurna foothills and takes you to villages, lakes and mountain viewpoints across the Annapurna region.

Following the Annapurna region trail, this trek goes into the wild and remote Kopra Ridge – one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Himalayas. We stay in lodges, the local community whose profits benefit local schools and village projects. Starting the trek from Lumle, we follow the famous Annapurna base camp trail and then after Tadapani, we leave the popular trekking trail to venture into the unexplored parts of the Annapurna region. We start the gradual climb into the alpine terrain to Bayeli and finally descend down to Khopra, not visited by many trekkers, even those who have frequented this region for a while now.

We can enjoy some majestic mountain views including those of Nilgiris, Annapurna I, Fang and Annapurna South. The 8th highest mountain Dhaulagiri is seen across the Kali Gandaki Gorge, dominating the western skyline. Our return route descends through open alpine pastures, oak forest, and rhododendrons to Swanta. Overall, best trail if you want to avoid the crowd of Annapurna base camp trek and have a quiet mountain holiday.
