Annapurna Short Trek Dhampus & Pothana Overview

This particular package of Annapurna Short Trek includes a three day trek leading to the beautiful Gurung village of Dhampus and Pothana. The trek starts after you reach Pokhara after 6/7 hours drive from Kathmandu.

(You can even take a flight, which will take about 30 minutes.) Particularly, this is one of the short treks of the Annapurna Region.

Probably a better and budget alternative to Annapurna Base Camp Trek, this Annapurna short trek is also an easy hike, any people leading an active life can easily accomplish without any hassle from altitude and the accent.

Notably, have you seen the “Komorebi” before?

To sum it up,  “Komorebi” is a Japanese word for “the sun rays passing through the forests”.

On your trip to Pothana, you will encounter this view during sunset. This trek is an easy grade trek and takes you to some beautiful settlement of the Gurkhas. We spend a night in Pokhara and the next morning we head towards Kande, the trek’s starting point.

The trek leads to the rhododendron forest. It offers an excellent view of the Mount Fishtail, Annapurnas, Lamjung Himal, Dhaulagiri and many more.

A company you can trust

Nepal is not a place where to try your luck with the company you choose, it can be very dangerous.
What I loved about Raj is passion that aims him, the deep link he has with his country and the way he tells you about it.
He helped my with my trekking itinerary with very nice tips to escape touristic routes for a more authentic experience!
The season wasn't the best due to the weather, so he also organized for me an amazing panoramic flight over the mountains.
So, in my opinion I couldn't choose better!!
