Why Tour Tibet

Our Tibet tour combined with the ABC Trek is 20 days in total, where 15 days are for the base camp of Annapurna from arrival and back to Kathmandu. 3 days of this tour are dedicated to Lhasa - a culturally and naturally rich city, the capital of Tibet.

Popular for its unique geographic location and impressive ancient culture and religion, Lhasa offers you the opportunity to experience Tibetan arts, architecture, cultures, and traditions, along with exploration of the beautiful natural landscape.

If you are interested in experiencing trekking in Nepal as well as a short tour in Lhasa, our Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Tibet Tour is a perfect package.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek Difficulty

The Annapurna Base Camp trek is moderate in difficulty. So, this begs the question. Can newbie trekkers take on Annapurna Base Camp? Yes, this journey is suitable for beginners and experienced trekkers alike.

The trails in the ABC trek are all well established. Likewise, the infrastructure, like teahouses and lodges, is found in every stop. Meaning, travelers can stay at a comfy accommodation and have meal options.

The ABC can be covered during a family vacation. However, trekkers still need to have proper preparation, gear, and pacing.

Tibet Tour Experience

Our itinerary then takes us to Tibet. We move to the capital, Lhasa, on our first day. The journey from here on out will be relatively easy. We won’t be trekking above 4,000 meters, so the altitude won’t be an issue.

We get to view unique landscapes and encounter a one-of-a-kind culture in Tibet. Best of all, you have the unique traditional Tibetan lifestyle. Also, the views of stunning high-altitude landscapes.

Best time for Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Tibet Tour

The best time to trek to Annapurna Base Camp is during spring and autumn. Trekkers flock to Nepal during these two months. They are considered the peak trekking season in the country.

Autumn comes right after the monsoon. The weather in Nepal is crisp and clear. It’s perfect for a photographic journey in the Himalayas. Besides, the temperatures during said season stay at a welcoming scale, neither too hot nor too cold.

Before monsoon summer hits Nepal, the Himalayan nation goes through Spring. As the snow starts to melt off, the temperature starts to get warmer in the area.

We could try to climb up the base camp during winter, but we face many challenges during winter treks. Freezing tempretures is a norm during winter

Summer and monsoon are to be avoided. Not only is the trail muddy and slippery, but most teahouses remain closed during summer. The risk of landslides and mudslides is very real during the monsoon.

So, book the Annapurna Base Camp trek with the Tibet tour during spring or autumn. Pre-booking helps you ensure you get all the accommodations on the trek.

Water during the Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Tibet Tour

Proper hydration during the trip is necessary for all travelers. We make sure different stages of the expedition have ample water, from lower trekking routes to higher base camps.

The lower areas have local streams and teahouses. The travelers can refill their water bottles for a fee in teahouses and lodges.

In areas far from civilization, our team makes it so that safe drinking water is always available. They purify the water through boiling and water purification tablets.

They are also advised to drink plenty of water for hydration and to avoid altitude sickness. They will get ample opportunities to replenish their stock of water along the trek.

Proper hydration aids not only in physical performance. It also plays a very important role in acclimatization during the expedition itself.
