This 2 nights 3 days Nepal Tour Package has been designed to quench the thirst of tourists who have limited time but keen to see what Kathmandu has to offer. On this 3 Day Nepal Tour, first, we will visit heritage sites - the Pashupatinath Temple & Boudhanath Stupa.
Pashupatinath Temple
Located at the bank of the Bagmati River, the Pashupatinath temple is the most sacred pilgrimage site and a belief it to be the abode of Lord Shiva. Devotees from all around the world come to visit this site at least once a year in a day called Maha Shivratri. Built-in pagoda style and has 4 silver doors and all 4 doors are opened on special occasions. The temple was listed UNESCO world heritage site in 1979.
Boudhanath Stupa
The Boudhanath Stupa is one of the oldest monuments in Kathmandu valley and one of the first monument with a written history. The Stupa is located in the north-east of the Kathmandu valley and holds the record of being the largest Stupa in South Asia.
More than 50 monasteries are inside the stupas and are well surrounded by Mandala - encircled prayer wheels. Devotees spin the prayer wheels as they circle the stupa and humming chants of mantra from Buddhist monks can be heard. This was listed in the UNESCO’s world heritage site list in 1979 A.D.
The second-day program starts after breakfast leads to two heritage sites Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square at the ancient medieval cities of Bhaktapur & Patan famed for ancient arts and architecture.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square
Bhaktapur is one of the ancient city and is about 15km from Kathmandu. The 55 windows palace, the Nyatapol, 5 storied temples also the tallest pagoda style temple, the Royal Bath, Pottery square and Dattatreya temple are the major attraction in Bhaktapur.
Patan Durbar Square
Patan city has numerous monasteries and Hindu temples. It is famous for wood, metal and stone carvings.
