Sikkim Darjeeling Tour - 10 Days

Upon arrival at the airport in Delhi, a Himalayan Trekkers representative will greet you and escort you to the designated hotel. Check in at the hotel and have some rest. In the evening, we explore the ancient markets and historical sites of Delhi. 

After a delightful breakfast at the hotel, we visit the famous and historical landmarks in Delhi. Firstly, we explore the magnificent Royal Red Fort which is made by the magnificent marvels with red stone. Further, we head towards Jami Masjid- one of the biggest mosques in India.

Later, we wil visit Rajghat, which is one of the central places made in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi. Then, we move to the presidential Palace which is also called Rashtrapati Bhawan, and India Gate- an unforgettable tribute constructed in the admiration and respect of the Indian military.

Start the day with a warm breakfast served at your hotel. Then, check out and move to the airport for a scenic flight to Bagdogra. On arrival in Bagdogra, you will be transferred to Darjeeling by Car and to the hotel. Check in and relax. In your free time, you can stroll around the local market. 

Our day starts before sunrise as we take a short drive to the Tiger Hill for Sunrise view. This famous hill also offers the view of some of the highest mountains in the Himalayas including Mt. Kanchenjunga. After the sunrise trip, we will drive back to the hotel and have breakfast.

After a brief rest, we visit the famous landmarks and monuments of Darjeeling including Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center, Tea Garden, Tea Factory, and Peace Pagoda.

With a delicious tea and breakfast, we will enjoy the scenic drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. We must complete the governmental formalities in the Tista bridge to move into Gangtok. Once we are in the city, we will relax. You can stroll around the streets and interact with the locals in your free time.  

We start the day early to drive to the Tashi Viewpoint from where you can witness the Kanchenjunga, the Sinolchu Range, and the far-away settlements within Sikkim.  We return to the hotel for breakfast. After that our sightseeing continues to the Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms or Government Institute of Cottage Industries, Enchey Monastery, Research Institute of Tibetology, Rumtek Monastery, and Tashi View Point. 

Note: We can also drive for an hour towards Martam for an overnight stay if incase of we prefer to change the location.

Soon after breakfast, we will enjoy the scenic drive to Kalimpong. On the way, we will cross the popular settlements locally called Martam. We will explore this beautiful settlement and continue our drive to Kalimpong. As you reach Kalimpong, you will surely love the vibe of the city. Check-in at the hotel and stroll around the markets and streets. Or you can spend the rest of the day relaxing. 

Today, we will visit the famous landmarks of Kalimpong including the Shri Diwakar Vihara Institute in Kalimpong, Dello Viewpoint, and Haat Bazar (a weekly market of local products for local people).  Then in the evening, After Sightseeing, we transfer to Siliguri for an overnight stay to catch up our flight onwards from Bagdogra 

Today is the final day of the trip where a representative of Himalayan trekkers will transfer you to the Bagdogra airport for a flight to Delhi. From there, you will catch a connecting flight back to your hometown/onward destination.  This is how the trip to Sikkim Darjeeling comes to an end.
