Difficulty Level of Lobuche Peak Climbing
The Lobuche peak climbing journey has a technical route to the summit. So, it is considered to be one of the challenging ‘trekking peaks’ of Nepal. The ascending trail has some rocky and steep walls which can make the trekking experience tiresome. A trekker requires good stamina and physical endurance to deal with the strenuous trekking trail.
The rugged landscape and slippery snowcapped trails of the Everest region and the top of the peak demand the use of different mountaineering gears such as crampons, ropes, ice axes, etc. Hence, a beginner trekker should learn some basic alpine skills and techniques to use the tools before taking up this adventurous journey to the summit of Lobuche Peak.
The height of Lobuche Peak is above 6000 meters which enables a chance of trekkers suffering from altitude sickness. In higher elevations, there’s thin air and scarcity of oxygen and the body of people living at sea level cannot adjust to the surroundings immediately. Thus, trekkers should carry medication for altitude sickness consulting doctors as well as some home remedies such as cloves and garlic to avoid the sickness of higher altitudes. Also, our 4-day package for Lobuche Peak climbing includes a day for acclimatization for trekkers to get used to the environment of high elevation.
