Leh Ladakh Tour takes you to the Ladakh region in India which is called as the land of high passes.  This tour encompasses the capital city of Ladakh i.e. Leh, Nubra valley and Pangong lake. Ladakh region is still being explored and has an amusing history of Buddhism and ancient silk road.

Delhi is the main gateway to Ladakh. The Leh Ladakh tour is renowned for exquisite panoramas, clear blue skies, Buddhist monasteries and gompas, gorgeous high mountain passes etcetera. You will be taken back as you reach the gorgeous Leh at the height of 3524 meters.

Trekking in Ladakh provides one with high diversity due to the plethora of wildlife, pasturelands, streams and springs, the famous lakes like Tsomoriri, Pangong, Tsokar etcetera. Besides that, the ancient monasteries in this region i.e. Ladakh and Zanskar is the next thing to look forward to on this wonderful tour.

Itinerary

Arrival on: Delhi

Departure from: Delhi

Day 1

Arrival in Delhi and explore markets in the evening.

Meals included: BB

Upon arrival at the airport in Delhi, you will be welcomed by the representative from Himalayan trekkers and transferred to the hotel.

After having some rest we explore the ancient markets and historical sites of Delhi. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Accommodation: Hotel Estimated Walking Distance: 30 min private drive.

Day 2

Full day sightseeing of Delhi.

Meals included: BB

Today we visit the famous and historical places in Delhi. We explore the magnificent Royal Red Fort also called Lal Killa. It is an attractive Fort made by the magnificent marvels with red stone. After that, we head towards Jami Masjid, this is taken as one of the biggest mosques in India. It was made by the famous king who made the Taj Mahal: Shah Jahan.

Furthermore, we explore Rajghat, which is one of the central places made in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi. After visiting the monuments and arts and architecture of Old Delhi we explore the presidential Palace which is also called Rashtrapati Bhawan, India Gate. India Gate is an unforgettable tribute constructed in the admiration and respect of the Indian military.

Day 3

Scenic flight to Leh and explore.

Meals included: B,D

After enjoying the breakfast, transfer to the airport for a scenic flight to Leh.

At Leh, an airport representative will transfer you to the hotel/campsite where you will spend overnight.

In free time you can relax or explore the Shanti stupa.

Accommodation: Hotel/tented camp. Estimated Walking Distance: An hour plus flight

Day 4

Sightseeing around Leh.

Meals included: B,D

With a delicious breakfast, you will move for sightseeing where you will visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Legendary magnetic hills and also get a chance to see the beautiful views of Indus valley and Zanskar.

Overnight.

Day 5

Scenic drive to Nubra valley via Khardung La.

Meals included: B,D

After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La pass (18380 ft), the world's highest motorable pass. You will also explore the Hundar valley and enjoy the camel ride in the cold desert.

Overnight.

Accommodation: Tented camp. Estimated Walking Distance: 5-6 hrs drive

Day 6

Visit Diskit monastery and drive to Pangong Tso lake.

Meals included: B,D

After breakfast, you will explore the Diskit monastery from where you can get amazing view of Nubra valley. Then you will enjoy a scenic drive to Pangong Tso lake.

Overnight at camp. 

Accommodation: Tented camp. Estimated Walking Distance: 5-6 hrs drive

Day 7

Explore Pangong Tso lake & return back to Leh.

Meals included: B,D

You will explore the Pangong Tso Lake in the morning after your delicious breakfast. Then, you will have a scenic drive back to Leh. 

En route, you will explore Thiksey monastery and Shey Palace.

Overnight.

 

Accommodation: Hotel/tented camp. Estimated Walking Distance: 7-8 hrs drive.

Day 8

Spare/free day at Leh.

Meals included: B,D

You can explore Leh on your own today. After breakfast, you will be free to stroll the local market and town where you can do shopping of souvenirs for friends and family members

Overnight.

 

Accommodation: Hotel/tented camp.

Day 9

Return back to Delhi and catch connecting flight to Homecity.

As it is the final day of the trip, A representative of Himalayan trekkers will transfer you to the airport of Leh for early morning flight to Delhi.

After reaching Delhi, catch your connecting flight to your hometown.

Himalayan Trekkers promises to manage the best, most comfortable and preferable accommodation.

Generally, in cities like Delhi, we arrange basic three-star facilities. If available, you can opt for a more budget-friendly option or upgrade to a more luxurious hotel by paying a little extra. 

Although all the places might not have all the modern facilities, we will make sure to arrange safe and comfortable accommodation. In general, hygienic and safe tea houses/local lodges/ home-stays with all the basic facilities are arranged. But you can, if possible, personalize according to your preference. 

If your itinerary includes camping or you choose to experience camping during your travel, a proper camping-site will be pre-decided. If required, we also provide the basic equipment which is refundable. Please check the Gear-List and Requirement List for more information.

Meals

Breakfast is usually included with your B&B Accommodation within the cost that is evident. For other meals in the city, you would have to pay separately. Often in the cities, you can choose from many different cuisines and varied food services. We can always help you find the right place to fit your taste.

In more remote areas, usually, there are not many options. But you can always find hygienic and well-prepared food. Moreover, almost all the meals during the trek are included in the cost. We can help you make changes according to your preference and budget, but only if choices are available! On top of that, Himalayan Trekkers also organizes Welcome and Farewell Dinners as a symbol of warm greetings.
