Homestay is a different concept for those who have only done trekking. You get to experience the traditional lifestyle of people in the village far from the hustle and bustle of the city, witness the beautiful villages, traditionally built houses, terraced rice fields, mustard fields, children playing on the muddy area, animal farming, and much more.

You also get a chance to learn about the culture and traditions of the people in village esp. Gurungs. Ghale Gaun is situated at the Lamjung district at an altitude of 2100 meters above sea level.

You can view the mesmerizing Annapurna Circuit from the village which is very eye-catchy. Inaugurated by the President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, there is a museum, The SAARC Village Tourism Museum.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Himalayan trekkers representative will pick you up from the Airport and take for checking-in at a Hotel.

You are free on your own to explore around the streets of Thamel.

Accommodation: 3 star hotel in KTM
Day 2: Full-day Kathmandu sightseeing
Max Altitude: 1,350 m

After early breakfast at your hotel, you will be taken for sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley.

(Note: The places you will be taken for sightseeing are categorized under UNESCO World Heritages.)

Accommodation: 3 star hotel in KTM
Day 3: Scenic flight/drive to Pokhara & trek to Nandighar Village
30 min flight/ 6-7 hrs drive & 2-3 hrs trek
Max Altitude: 1,900 m

After breakfast, you can enjoy a scenic drive/flight to Pokhara. After reaching Pokhara, you do a short trek to Nandighar Village, where you will spend the night at a local people's residence.

Day 4: Trek to Pasgaun Village
4-5 hrs

You will have the local breakfast at the same house where you stayed. After that, you trek to Pasgaun (Village). Here also, you will stay at a local villager's house.

Day 5: Trek to Ghale Gaun (Village)
4-5 hrs

After breakfast with today's family, you head towards Ghale Gaun. You will be touched by the way people will welcome you to their village and home. They will first put a flower garland, made from the flowers found in their village. You will be then served with the tea and varieties of food items. They will show their cultural dance.

People love to share their food, culture, and tradition with visitors. You can see the charm in peoples' faces. Spend overnight at a villager's house.

Day 6: Explore Ghale Gaun
Max Altitude: 2,100 m

Today also you get the chance to explore this beautiful village. The view of the snow-capped mountain is awe-inspiring from Ghale Gaun.

You will have breakfast with the local people, interact with them, get to learn about their culture, take photographs, and explore the regions nearby and many more activities.

Stay overnight at the same house.

Day 7: Trek to Khudi, drive to Pokhara & fly/drive back to Kathmandu
2-3 hrs trek & 30 min flight/ 6-7 hrs drive

It is already time to say goodbye to your newly made family. But, you will surely make lots of wonderful memories from the villages and the people.

After breakfast with the family, you trek to Khudi and to Pokhara. From here you will either drive or fly back to Kathmandu. Afternoon, you are free on your own, so you may buy some souvenirs for your friends and family in your home country.

In the evening, you will enjoy a farewell dinner with the Himalayan trekkers' team.

Day 8: Final departure

After breakfast, one of our representatives will drop you at the airport. You head towards your own destination by catching your scheduled flight.

In general we arrange a 3-star hotel with all facilities in cities. If available, you can opt for a more budget-friendly option or upgrade to a more luxurious hotel by paying a little extra.

Although all places during your trek do not have all modern facilities (especially at higher altitudes), we ensure that it is arranged safely and comfortably. Mostly hygienic and safe tea houses / local lodges / home stays are arranged & please feel free to personalize according to your preference.

Meals

Breakfast is usually included with your B&B accommodation within the costs. Meals in the city must be paid separately. Often in the cities, you can choose from many different cuisines and varied food services. We can always help you find the right place.

Remote areas don't have that many options, but hygienic and well-prepared food is always served. Moreover, most meals are included in the costs during your trek.
