Everest Base Camp Trek with Tibet Tour Overview

If you seek to explore something magical and get a flavor of majestic beauty and the extraordinary life of the high Himalayas, the Everest Base Camp Trek with Tibet Tour is a great adventure opportunity.

Why Everest Base Camp?

Everest Base Camp, or simply EBC, is one of the most sought-after treks in Nepal, providing you with the enchanting and pristine serenity of the Himalayan mountains of the Solukhumbhu region. Located in the vicinity of the Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mount Everest (8848 m) is located here, where you can enjoy the beauty of immaculately snowy mountain peaks.

Extraordinarily rich in biodiversity, the trek route has an abundance of the lush green forest of oak, pine, junipers, and blooming rhododendron forests. Plus, diverse wildlife like snow leopards, jackals, musk deer, Himalayan Thar, and birds like Impeyan Pheasant (national bird of Nepal), Himalayan monal, etc.

Lahasa of the Tibet Autonomous Region

Lhasa, on the other hand, is the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China and is a center of Tibetan Buddhism. It has great monuments with Tibetan architecture, monasteries with artistic Thangka painting, and friendly people with their own unique lifestyles. Tibet is also a center for learning mystic arts.

Potala Palace, constructed in the 17th century, is one of the spectacular jewels of Lhasa city and the former residence of his holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama. Norbulingka, the summer palace of the Tibetan spiritual master, is one of the prominent sites on our Tibet tour.

Everest Base Camp Trek With Tibet Tour

This combined journey of Nepal and Tibet gives you profound bliss while traveling, as well as a little knowledge about the nature, tradition, culture, and lifestyle of the Nepalese and Tibetans of the Himalayan region.

Best Season for EBC trek with Tibet Tour

The best season to take the Everest Base Camp trek with the Tibet tour is during spring and autumn. They have the best rewards with a few challenges.

Spring is the season that welcomes new life. As such, the lower trail of the Everest Base Camp trek welcomes trekkers with blossoming wildflowers and rhododendron.

The Sagarmatha National Park becomes an active season for animals. This improves the chances of spotting the Himalayan tahr, musk deer, and blood pheasant. Occasionally, a lucky few trekkers can spot red pandas.

Autumn is the perfect season for panoramic views. Fall has the most stable weather with clean and clear skies. It has no sign of rain, making it the ideal time for trekkers. Also, it is the best time for photography enthusiasts to visit the Himalayas.

Seasons to avoid: Summer/Monsoon and Winter

Seasons a trekker should avoid trekking in the Khumbu region are summer/monsoon and winter. The trails during these seasons become treacherous to tread.

During the summer/rainy season, the rainfall makes the pathways slippery and muddy. Making it a hassle to walk by. Furthermore, during the summer/monsoon, the trails become infested with leeches and insects.

In winter, Nepal has steady weather in most places. But the Himalayas are a different story. Everest Base Camp trails get a heavy snowfall during winter. The temperatures drop below -10 °C to -20 °C at night.

December and February bring extreme, sub-zero conditions in the EBC trail. As such, it is recommended to avoid trekking during the summer/monsoon and winter seasons.

Best Season for Tibet?

For a tour around Lhasa, any season is fine. Even during summer/monsoon, and winter. However, for Everest Base Camp on the North Side, the best season for it is spring and fall.

But for this package, we will be traveling in Tibet during the spring or autumn. We get to see the stable weather in both seasons.
