Cho Oyu Base Camp from Tibet is a 2-week plus-long trip covering Lhasa city tour, Rongbuk monastery, and Everest (Qomolangma) Base Camp visit. Cho Oyu is the sixth highest mountain on earth standing at an elevation of 8,201 m above sea level. Our journey towards Cho Oyu begins after the scenic flight from Kathmandu, Nepal to Lhasa, Tibet. After reaching Tibet, we will explore the cities of Lhasa, where Tibetan Buddhism started. We will then drive towards Cho Oyu Chinese Base Camp through the turquoise Yamdrok Lake, spending the night in Shigatse, then Shegar, and further traveling towards the world’s highest monastery Rongbuk.

 After that, we will wander around the Everest Base Camp (Qomolangma) and spend a night there or in Rongbuk depending on the situation and availability. The travelers can drive from Kathmandu via Trisuli, Dhunche, Rasuwagadi, Kerung/Gerung border, Tingri to the base camp and end the trip by the same route. Similarly, we could also start the trip by flying to Lhasa from Kathmandu and ending by driving from Lhasa to Kathmandu or vice versa.
