Sikkim Darjeeling Tour provides you the opportunity to explore the Himalayan region of India. You will visit Sikkim and Darjeeling in the trip. These two are some of the most popular destinations in the Indian Subcontinent in the lap of the eastern Himalayan region.

Darjeeling is often referred to as the “Queen of the Hills” and is famous for tea plantation. The railway in Darjeeling has been recognized as the world heritage railway. These trains dating back to British India are major attractions in Darjeeling.

As you move to Sikkim the road itself gives you a sense of joy. It is one of the most scenic drives in Asia through winding roads going up and down. The view of Mount Kanchenjunga and other mountains in the eastern part of the Himalayas are always with you during this trip.

Itinerary

Arrival on: Delhi

Departure from: Delhi

Day 1

Arrival in Delhi and explore markets in the evening.

Meals included: BB

Upon arrival at the airport in Delhi, you will be welcomed by the representative from Himalayan trekkers and transferred to the hotel.

After having some rest we explore the ancient markets and historical sites of Delhi. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Accommodation: Hotel Estimated Walking Distance: 30 min private drive.

Day 2

Full day sightseeing of Delhi.

Meals included: BB

Today we visit the famous and historical places in Delhi. We explore the magnificent Royal Red Fort also called Lal Killa. It is an attractive Fort made by the magnificent marvels with red stone. After that, we head towards Jami Masjid, this is taken as one of the biggest mosques in India. It was made by the famous king who made the Taj Mahal: Shah Jahan.

Furthermore, we explore Rajghat, which is one of the central places made in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi. After visiting the monuments and arts and architecture of Old Delhi we explore the presidential Palace which is also called Rashtrapati Bhawan, India Gate. India Gate is an unforgettable tribute constructed in the admiration and respect of the Indian military.

Day 3

Scenic flight to Darjeeling.

Meals included: BB

after breakfast, a scenic flight to Darjeeling. A representative of Himalayan trekkers will transfer you to the hotel.

You can stroll around the local market. Overnight.

Accommodation: Hotel Estimated Walking Distance: 2 hrs flight and 20 min drive.

Day 4

Sightseeing in Darjeeling.

Meals included: BB

Our day starts before sunrise as we take a short drive to the Tiger Hill for Sunrise view. This famous hill also offers the view of some of the highest mountains in the Himalayas including Mt. Kanchenjunga. After the sunrise trip, we will drive back to the hotel and have breakfast.

After a brief rest, we visit the famous landmarks and monuments of Darjeeling including Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center, Tea Garden, Tea Factory, and Peace Pagoda.

Overnight.

Day 5

Scenic drive to Gangtok.

Meals included: BB

With a delicious tea and breakfast, we will enjoy the scenic drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim.

We must complete the governmental formalities in the Tista bridge to move into Gangtok.

Overnight.

Day 6

Gangtok sightseeing.

Meals included: BB

We start the day early to drive to the Tashi Viewpoint from where you can see the Kanchenjunga, the Sinolchu Range and the far away from settlements within Sikkim.

We return to the hotel for breakfast and after that continues to Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms or Government Institute of Cottage Industries, Enchey Monastery, Research Institute of Tibetology, Rumtek Monastery, and Tashi View Point.

Overnight.

(we can also drive for an hour towards Martam for overnight stay).

Day 7

Drive to Kalimpong via Martam.

Meals included: BB

After breakfast, we will enjoy the scenic drive to Kalimpong. On the way, we will cross the popular settlements locally called Martam. We can explore this beautiful settlement and continue our drive to Kalimpong.

Overnight.

Accommodation: Hotel Estimated Walking Distance: 4-5 hrs drive.

Day 8

Full day sightseeing of Kalimpong.

Meals included: BB

Today we will visit the famous landmarks of Kalimpong including the Shri Diwakar Vahara Institute in Kalimpong, Dello Viewpoint and Haat Bazar, a weekly market of local products for local people. This place has provided many superstars for Bollywood and film industry, as you will observe the local poets, musicians and drama players on the way.   

Then in the evening, we enjoy free leisure. Overnight at Kalimpong.

Day 9

Spare/free day.

Meals included: BB

You can explore Kalimpong on your own today.

After breakfast, you will be free to stroll the local market and town where you can do shopping of souvenirs for friends and family members

Day 10

Return back to Delhi and catch connecting flight to Homecity.

Today is the final day of the trip where a representative of Himalayan trekkers will transfer you to the Bagdogra airport for connecting flight back to your home town. 

This is how the trip of Sikkim Darjeelings ends.

Breakfast is usually included with your B&B Accommodation within the cost that is evident.
For other meals in the city, you would have to pay separately. Often in the cities, you can choose from many different cuisines and varied food services. We can always help you find the right place to fit your taste.
