Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arrive in Lhasa
1 Hour

This tour begins as you arrive at the international airport located at Lhasa, Tibet. You are greeted by our tour guide or member of the organization and dropped at your hotel. You stay the night in a hotel resting and preparing for this incredible tour.

Day 2: Explore Lhasa
1 Hour

You will start the day with breakfast and leave to explore the attractions of Lhasa. Lhasa is an acclaimed place in Tibet with some of extremely popular structures. Second day of our tour we will explore the imposing Potala Palace located at the high altitude of 3750 meters, colorful and lively Barkhor street and holy Jokhang temple.

Each of these places has high significance and value. In Barkhor street you can shop for unique souvenirs. Return back to the hotel and overnight stay in Lhasa.

Day 3: Additional Day Exploring Lhasa
1 Hour

Lhasa has many offerings. We explore other landmarks of Tibet today. After breakfast we leave the hotel and head towards Drepung monastery. Drepung monastery is a revered monastery located at the bottom of Gambo Utse.  Later this day, we also explore Sera monastery with historical relics.

Drepung monastery and Sera monastery are 2 among great three monasteries of Gelugpa Sect. you will see many monks here. We return back to our hotel, have dinner and spend the night in Lhasa.

Day 4: Fly from Lhasa to Kathmandu
1 Hour

Fourth day of our tour is the day to day goodbye to Tibet. You head towards the international airport located in Lhasa and arrive at Kathmandu. Upon your arrival in the Tribhuvan International Airport, you are picked up and transferred to the hotel by one of the staff of Himalayan Trekkers. You will rest and stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 5: Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu Valley
1 Hour

After enjoying a scrumptious breakfast early in the morning, we leave to explore Kathmandu valley. We visit and explore Kathmandu city and Patan city. We enjoy ourselves as we explore the UNESCO sites of Nepal i.e. Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath and Patan Durbar square.

Each of these buildings are antique and complicated structures that are exquisite, nevertheless, this is going to be quite busy of a day as we also indulge in the vivacious and diverse culture of Nepalese. The places we visit today are held sacred by Buddhists and will give you proper insight into Buddhism in Nepal.

Day 6: Additional day sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
1 Hour

We explore the remaining aspects of Kathmandu today.  Today we shall explore Pashupatinath temple. This temple is dedicated to Shiva: god of Hindu mythology. Continuing our tour, we head towards Bouddhanath where you can see the largest stupa of Lord Buddha in the whole Asia.

These places are awesome and you can have some unique cuisines at rooftop restaurants here. Finally, we head towards Bhaktapur, the last city in Kathmandu valley. Our main target is to explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square. We return back to the hotel for a night stay.

Day 7: Flight from Kathmandu to Paro and drive to Thimphu (2300 meters)
2 Hrs Drive

We head towards the International airport section in TIA, we fly to Paro from Kathmandu. Paro is the only city with International airport in Bhutan. Bhutan is a stunning country with amazing mountain panoramas, ancient buildings and monasteries.

We explore Paro and visit some of its prime attractions like Kyerchu Lhakhang, Rinpung Dzong etcetera. This place will soothe your heart. We head towards Thimphu which will take us about 2 hours of drive. We will stay the night in Thimphu.

Day 8: Sightseeing tour in Thimphu and drive to Punakha (1250m)
4 Hrs Drive

We tour around the beautiful Thimphu city uncovering what it has to offer. The generosity of Bhutanese people, Thimpu Dzong, DochuLa Pass located at the altitude of 3100 meters etcetera are waiting for us in this tour. We will also give the National library and Memorial chorten a shot. We drive to reach Punakha for about 4 hours and stay the night there.

Day 9: Sightseeing tour in Punakha Dzong and drive back to Paro (1460 meters)
4 Hrs Drive

Punakha is one of the most beautiful places of Bhutan with one of the most spectacular Bhutanese structure i.e. Punakha Dzong. Following a 4-hour drive, we reach Paro. We will stay the night in Paro after exploring what’s left of it.

Day 10: Trek from Paro to Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger’s Nest)
5 Hrs Trek

Today is a physically challenging day of our tour but the experience is extremely rewarding. We trek from Paro to the cliff of Paro valley to reach Takshang Lhakhang, also called Tiger's nest. It is located at the elevation of 3120 meters. The picturesque view of Paro valley from up here is simply awe-inspiring. We will second our night at a hotel in Paro.

Day 11: Departure / Farewell from Paro
1 Hour

Last day of the tour, we will drop you to Paro International airport or any other mutually agreed location from where we will bid you goodbye.

In general, we arrange a 3* Standard Category Accommodations with all facilities in cities. If available, you can opt for a more budget-friendly option or upgrade to a more luxurious hotel by paying a little extra.

Although all places during your trek do not have all modern facilities (especially at higher altitudes), we ensure that it is arranged safely and comfortably. Mostly hygienic and safe tea houses / local lodges/homestays are arranged & please feel free to personalize according to your preference.

If your travel schedule includes camping or if you choose to experience it, a correct campsite will be determined in advance and everything will be taken care of. Breakfast is usually included with your accommodation within the costs. Meals in the city must be paid separately. Often in the cities, you can choose from many different cuisines and varied food services. We can always help you find the right place.

Remote areas don't have that many options, but hygienic and well-prepared food is always served. Moreover, most meals are included in the costs during your trek. We can help you make changes according to your preference and budget, but only if choices are available!
