Chulu Peak lies in the Annapurna Mountain to the north and the Manang Valley to the South. Actually, Chulu Peak is divided into three wings: Chulu East (6,584m), Chulu West (6,419m), and Chulu Far East (6,059m). Among these three wings, Chulu Far East is considered to be the easiest one for climbing.

The commencing point of this trek is by the Bank of Marshyangdi. The valley around the river lies in the tropical region. The trail then takes you gradually towards the subtropical region, followed by Lower temperature, an Upper temperature to the Subalpine Region and lastly to the Alpine region.
Mesokanto La lies at 5,340 m above sea level. It is the joining pass between two very popular and beautiful valleys, Marshyangdi and Kaligandaki.
Marshyangdi River
This river is popular for whitewater rafting because it has a rapid flow of water.

It is also known as the Windy Valley. People from different parts come here in search of gold particles in the river.
