Please let us know any special conditions regarding diet you might have or your food preferences in advance.
Mobile Reception and Internet Access
In the route of a 2-day Narayan Tour, staying connected is possible because of the reception and availability of an internet connection.
The Ncell and Nepal Telecom coverage in the urban cities is tremendous; hence, travellers can stay connected by making calls or on their mobile accessing data services. On the tour to the most remote areas, access to the network may be low or irregular.
Buying a local SIM card as soon as you arrive in Nepal means the best connection experience for tourists. Ncell provides faster data transmission speed and welcomes foreigners through user-friendly interfaces, while NTC does better in terms of coverage, including remote mountainous areas.
To buy a SIM card, you need an unlocked device with your passport and an official passport image. You can buy SIM cards both at Nepal's international airport and with the help of hotel personnel.
Most hotels and other establishments along the tour route have Wi-Fi access for internet connectivity. Generally speaking, Wi-Fi is reliable and usually free of charge or at a minimal fee in urban areas. In most outlying areas, internet access may be limited, very slow, or have associated charges.
Efforts exist to improve connectivity within tourism and pilgrimage destinations, yet insufficient power supply, together with territorial limitations, diminish the overall service quality.
Electric Plugs and Adapters
During your 2-day Narayan Tour in Nepal, you should familiarize yourself with the local electrical infrastructure beforehand so that you can keep your electrically powered devices on during the tour. Nepal uses three types of power sockets:
Type C, Type D, and Type M. The Type C socket has two round pins. The Type D socket has three round pins arranged in a triangular manner. The Type M socket also has three round pins but is larger.
The standard voltage in Nepal is 230 volts at a frequency of 50 Hz, which is different from what’s generally used in countries such as the United States (120 volts at 60 Hz).
Therefore, tourists coming from these regions will require a voltage converter to avoid damaging their devices that wouldn’t be compatible with 230 volts setting. However, most modern gadgets like mobile phones and laptops are dual voltage (100-240V) and would only require a plug adapter.
To adapt the different socket types, we suggest you take a universal travel adapter compatible with socket types C, D, and M. We recommend you purchase before your journey to your home country or easily find any nearby travel shop or online. In some hotels, they have adapters also available, but it is not advisable to depend on availability.
