Our epic 21 Days and 20 Nights journey begin with a classic tour of the golden triangle on the route of India from Delhi, then to Jaipur and Agra. Next follows a scenic flight to Paro.

Bhutan welcomes you with astonishing natural beauty, vast landscapes, rich culture, and tradition. Bhutan also offers secluded cultural beauty and a long history of three thriving cities of Paro, Thimpu, and Punakha.

The second half of this tour begins with a scenic flight from Paro to the city of temples - Kathmandu, the capital of a small Himalayan paradise - Nepal. Visiting the UNESCO World Heritage sites, the ancient courtyards filled with mind-blowing arts, and the architecture that includes magnificent stones and wood carvings in this enchanting city offers visitors an experience of a lifetime.

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi, India

Upon arrival at the airport in Delhi, a represnetative of Himalayan trekkers will greet you and transfer to the hotel.

After having some rest, we explore the ancient markets and historical sites of Delhi.

Day 2: Drive from Delhi to Jaipur

After a delicious breakfast, we start our sightseeing in the morning. Firstly we start with the Laxmi Narayan Temple and a gigantic statue of Lord Shiva. After that, we will have a scenic drive to Jaipur (258km). Once we arrive at Jaipur and take some rest, you can explore the Jaipur Markets and the famous Hawa Mahal or Wind Palace in the evening. Overnight stay at Jaipur.

Day 3: Full-Day sightseeing of Jaipur

Today after breakfast we start our sightseeing tour of Jaipur. We will visit the renowned Amber Fort of the 16th century. This fort was constructed by Raja Man Singh who was the commander of Akbar's Rajput. At Amber Fort, we have an elephant back ride which is one of the major attractions of the Fort.

Furthermore, we explore the textile industry and small souvenir shops. The other major place to visit in Jaipur is the City Palace of Jaipur, which is also called Hawa Mahal or Wind Palace, and Jantar Mantar or Observatory which was constructed by Raja Jai Singh. Overnight stay at Jaipur.

Day 4: Drive to Agra

Soon after breakfast, we leave Jaipur for Agra through Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri was built during the Mughal Dynasty. It is a stunning building made of red sandstone which was constructed by the famous Mughal Ruler Akbar to memorialize Salim Chisti, who was a saint and sanctified King Akbar with three children i.e. sons.

Also, we will explore the magnificent buildings of the Jami Masjid, Diwan I Khas, the Panch Mahal, the grave of Salim Chisti, and other renowned palaces. The shrines are the perfect paradigm of the blend of Islamic arts and architecture with Jain and Hindu enhancing arts.  Overnight stay at Agra.

Day 5: Morning sightseeing in Taj Mahal & Return to Delhi

Today after a delicious breakfast we explore the places of Agra. We visit the stunning Taj Mahal which is a perfect blend of Love as well as arts and architecture. It is also taken as one of the wonders of the world. Furthermore, we also explore the magnificent Fort of Agra, which is a huge equipped premeditated spot of the Mughal Empire. At the time of the afternoon, we will return to Delhi by driving. Upon arrival in Delhi, we travel around the famous Qutab Minar and Lotus Temple. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 6: Full-Day Sightseeing of Delhi

Today we visit the famous and historical places in Delhi. We explore the magnificent Royal Red Fort also called Lal Killa. It is an attractive Fort made of magnificent marvels with red stone. After that, we head towards Jami Masjid, which is taken as one of the biggest mosques in India. It was built by the famous king who made the Taj Mahal: Shah Jahan.

Furthermore, we explore Rajghat, which is one of the central places made in memory of Mahatma Gandhi. After visiting the monuments and arts and architecture of Old Delhi we explore the presidential Palace which is also called Rashtrapati Bhawan, India Gate. India Gate is an unforgettable tribute constructed in the admiration and respect of the Indian military.  Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 7: Fly to Paro Bhutan
2 Hours Flight and Transfer

As usual, start the day with a delightful breakfast and we fly to Paro. The flight to Paro is known to be one of the most scenic flights in the world. We can witness the beautiful and panoramic view of the Himalayan Range, and the magnificent peaks of Jichu Drake and Jumolhari of Bhutan during our flight.

Upon arrival at the airport in Paro, you will be welcomed by your Bhutanese guide. We take lunch and explore Ta Dzong. Furthermore, we head to visit the Rinpung Dzong known as the "fortress of the heap of jewels". After that, we move to visit the oldest temple in Bhutan called Kichu Lhakhang. After a short exploration of the temple, we visit the Drugyal Dzong which is also called Bhutan Victory Fort. It was constructed in 1646 to memorialize the success of Bhutan over Tibetan attackers in the 1600s. If the weather is clear then we can see the superb view of Jumolhari Mountain at 7,314 m, which is also the second tallest mountain in Bhutan. Overnight stay at Paro.

Day 8: Hike to Tiger's Nest Monastery & Drive to Thimpu
3/4 Hours Hike and 2 Hours Transfer

Today after breakfast, we walk to explore the Tiger's Nest Monastery also known as Taktsang, one of the renowned monasteries of Bhutan 8th-century Indian saint Rinpoche is supposed to have flown on the backside of Tigress to contemplate in a cave where the tiger's Nest stands now. It is situated at the 3000 meters high cliff, 900 meters above the Paro valley. The trek to the monastery gives you a magnificent view of the natural scenery.  After the monastery tour, we will drive to Thimpu in the afternoon. In Thimpu (the Capital city of Bhutan), we can see the different lifestyles of the people and hospitality, and also we can see local handicraft shops. Overnight stay at Thimpu.

Day 9: Drive to Punakha
2 Hours Drive

Today we drive to Punakha. During our drive, we can see the magnificent scenery with lush vegetation, and on the way, we take a tea break at Dochu La (3100 m), from where we can get a magnificent view of different Himalayan Ranges. We move throughout the downhill with the rhododendron forests, Hemlock, and Fir forests.

We reach Punakha after crossing the rice field and the Punakha River. On traveling, we visit the Metshina Village and walk about 15/20 minutes throughout the rice fields to Chimi Lhakhang, which is taken as the temple of fecundity devoted to Devine Madman or Lama Drukpa Kuenley. Here we get the unique fecundity consent from the Lama if we desire. On the way, we have our lunch and explore Punakha Dzong. It is magnificently located between the Mo Chu (female) and Pho Chu (male) rivers like an attached ship. Overnight stay at Punakha.

Day 10: Drive to Paro

After breakfast, we will enjoy our scenic drive to Paro via Dochula pass. En route, we explore the newly made Druk Wangyal Monastery. It is one of the unique monasteries with different paintings and creative arts. We will take a short break at Thimpu and carry on our trip to Paro. After we reach Paro, we visit the local town in the evening. Overnight stay at Paro.

Day 11: Fly to Kathmandu
1 Hour Flight & Transfer

Today we depart from Paro and fly to Kathmandu. Generally, Druk air flies early in the morning to evade unfavorable condition of weather. So after breakfast, we will fly towards Nepal. While flying, we can see the stunning Himalayan range and the magnificent scenery of the landscapes. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

Day 12: Full Day Sightseeing of Kathmandu

After breakfast, we have a full day sightseeing of the Kathmandu valley including Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Swoyambhunath. Pashupatinath is one of the sacred Hindu temples in Nepal and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Boudhanath is also renowned as the little Tibet in Kathmandu. This is a spiritual place with the two eyes of Buddha conveying the message of peace to you.

Kathmandu Durbar Square lies in the center of the Kathmandu valley and has some of the most interesting monuments in Nepal. The Kasthamandap, the building from which Kathmandu derived its name, the Kumari Ghar, the House of the Living goddess Kumari, the Taleju temple, and the most interesting the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, now a museum are some of the interesting buildings in Kathmandu Durbar Square. Swoyambhunath is also popular as the "Monkey Temple" situated at the height of Kathmandu valley. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 13: Sightseeing of Bhaktapur & Patan Durbar Square

Today we visit two more UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Patan Durbar Square, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square Patan are rich in Newar architecture. The floor of the square is tiled with red bricks and we can see the various temples and idols of gods and goddesses. In the periphery of the durbar, we can see the residence of the Newar community with their cultures and traditions. Also, we can see the fine arts and architecture with wooden and stone carvings.

 Bhaktapur is also known as the city of Devotees. Here we can see the ancient arts and architecture, culture, and lifestyle of the local people. We can explore the Palaces with beautiful wood carvings and stone carvings and temples also we can see the ancient courtyards and shrines. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

Day 14: Drive to Syabru Besi

After breakfast, we will have a scenic and amazing off-road drive to Syabru Besi, enjoying the amazing views of rivers, hills, mountains, and smiling local people. Syabru Besi is a town located in the northern part of Nepal in the Langtang region which is 20 km far from the Nepal-China border. During your leisure time, you can explore around and interact with local people in that area. Overnight in Syabru Besi.

Day 15: Drive to Tingri via Kayrong
7/8 Hours Drive

After breakfast, we will continue our drive to the border area, complete the immigration procedure and enter Tibet. Our representative on that side will be there to welcome and assist you. Further drives to Tingri for an overnight stay. (Note: You can also spend one more night at Kayrong to get proper acclimatization).

Day 16: Drive to Shakya via Everest Base Camp

Today after breakfast, we move towards Sakya by driving. The drive is exploratory and scenic while we move to Rongbuk. We explore Rongbuk Monastery at Rongbuk, which is taken as the elevated monastery of Tibet.

Later, we will drive to the Everest Base Camp (EBC)(5250m). We can also see the superb views of the different mountains like Sishapangma (8,013m), Cho Oyu (8,201m), and the impressive and almighty Everest renowned as Chomolungma Mountain. It will be your lifetime experience to have face-to-face with the highest peak in the world. We will complete about a 17 km round excursion of the Everest Base Camp. The base camp is shrunken and unproductive rather the scenery of Everest is jaw-dropping.  Overnight stay at Sakya.

Day 17: Scenic drive to Shigatse

Today we explore the Monastery called Sakya, which is also the ancient temple of the Sakyapa section of Tibetan Buddhism. After that, we drive to Shigatse which is the second major town of Tibet. In Shigatse, we will visit the renowned monastery called Tashilhunpo. It was discovered by the first Dalai Lama known as Gendun Drup in 1447. It is equally important from both prospectuses either culturally or historically. Overnight stay at Shigatse.

Day 18: Drive to Lhasa via Gyantse

After breakfast, we will continue our drive to Lhasa via Gyantse. On the way, we will explore the amazing glacial lakes named Yamdork lake, Manak Dam Lake and  Perklor Monastery, Kumbum stupa, and amazing mountains too.  After reaching Lhasa, we will explore the local market and explore the surrounding. Overnight stay at the hotel in Lhasa.

Day 19: Lhasa Sightseeing

Today we will visit the major attractions of the city such as  Potala Palace, and the Palace of the Dalai Lama. This architectural masterpiece is the symbol of the unity of the Tibetans. This palace was built by King Soongtsan Gampo, who was married to Princess Wen Cheng Tang in 641 A.D. It has got 999 houses built on Hongshan Hill with a red building on top. It is one of the grandest palaces in the world to date. After lunch, we will drive towards the Jokhang Temple, the most sacred temple for Tibetan Buddhists. After spending some time at the Jokhang temple we will walk through Barkhor Street, a traditional old street in Lhasa. Overnight.

Day 20: Full Day in Lhasa - Norbulingka - Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery

We will start the sightseeing today from Norbulingka - the summer palace of the Dalai Lama, located along the Kyichu River and two kilometers west of the Potala Palace. This Palace has a huge garden covering 360,000 square meters, making it the biggest man-made garden in Tibet with 374 rooms.  The second site is Drepung Monastery, built by Chojey Tashi Palden in the 14th Century. It had four departments, of which Loseling, or "The Hermitage of the Radiant Mind," was the largest, housing more than three-quarters of Drepung's ten to fifteen thousand monks. Now it is one of Tibet’s premier monastic educational institutions.  Farewell dinner in the evening hosted by the Himalayan Trekkers.  Overnight.

Day 21: Fly onward from Lhasa

With a great bunch of memories and souvenirs, you will bid farewell to the Himalayan nations.  A  representative of Himalayan trekkers will transfer you to the airport for your scheduled flight back to your hometown. Himalayan Trekkers promises to manage the best, most comfortable and preferable accommodation.

Generally, in cities like Thimpu and Paro, we arrange basic three-star facilities. If available, you can opt for a more budget-friendly option or upgrade to a more luxurious hotel by paying a little extra. 

Although all the places might not have all the modern facilities, we will make sure to arrange safe and comfortable accommodation. In general, hygienic and safe tea houses/local lodges/ home-stays with all the basic facilities are arranged. But you can, if possible, personalize according to your preference. 

Meals

Breakfast is usually included with your B&B Accommodation within the cost that is evident.

For other meals in the city, you would have to pay separately. In the sity areas, you are likely to get varied food services, many local menus to different intenational cuisines. We are always ready to help you find the places that are appropriate for you and your taste. 

In more remote areas, usually, there are not many options. But you can always find hygienic and well-prepared food. Moreover, almost all the meals during the trek are included in the cost. We can help you make changes according to your preference and budget, but only if choices are available!

On top of that, Himalayan Trekkers also organizes Welcome or Farewell Dinners as a symbol of warm greetings.
