Kathamandu – 1 Day

The Kathmandu valley gives a glimpse of the culture and the rich history of Nepal. After exploring the valley, we hike around two famed villages nearby Kathmandu Valley – Khokana and Bungamati. Newar communities with their rich traditions have inhabited these villages since time memorial.

Pokhara - 2 Days

As Kathmandu is to the city of temples, Pokhara is to the city of lakes. Pokhara is a magnificent city surrounded by mountain ranges of Annapurna, Manaslu and the Dhaulagiri. Adventure activities like paragliding, bungee jumping, etc. can be add-ons to your tour to make it more adventurous.

We make up to the Davis Fall, Gupteshwor cave (Hindu shrine of Lord Shiva), Bindabasani temple and Seti River gorge & explore its nearby surroundings.

Lumbini – 1 Day

A UNESCO world heritage site and the center of world peace, - history has it that Siddartha Gautama Budhha was born here in Lumbini. Thus, it is a huge pilgrimage site. Maya Devi garden, various monasteries built by different nations, museums will be our place of interest.

Chitwan – 2 Days

Chitwan has some fun adventures in the form of a Jungle safari at the National Park is famous for its wilderness (you can spot the Bengal tiger if lucky!). An elephant back ride through the jungle & discover one-horned rhino, Bengal tigers, birds, and several other animals. We will also visit the Tharu community to explore their customs.

Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu & sightseeing of twin Newari Village

Our representative from Himalayan trekkers will welcome you to the traditional Nepali style with garlands and transfer you to the hotel at Thamel. After a brief rest, we go head for the sightseeing of twin Newari villages Khokana and Bungmati. They are situated 14 KM south of Kathmandu city. Overnight at the hotel.

Khokana and Bungmati- These two Newar Villages are located on the outskirts of the Patan District and are proposed as Tentative UNESCO heritage sites by the Nepal government. Khokana has the temple of Rudryaini and is also famous for Mustard oil production. Bungmati, 20 minutes walk from Khokana through paddy fields is full of old Newari houses and architecture.

These twin villages are one of the best places to experience Nepal’s age-old heritage and to observe the daily life of the People. You will feel like walking in 18th century Europe as you go through these streets.

Day 2: Scenic drive to Pokhara

After a warm breakfast at the hotel, we start the (7 hours/200km) drive to Pokhara. We will make a few stops on the way as there are lots of places to capture photographs. We will follow the Trishuli river, one of the best rivers for amateur rafting until Mugling and then onwards go in the opposite direction of the Marshayngdi river for a while. Besides the small and simple villages, the Prithvi Highway also offers a nice view of mountains, most notably from Khairini and onwards.

If the weather is clear you can see the Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, Manaslu and Annapurna as soon as you start going down from Kathmandu. In the evening stroll around the lakeside or depending on the time you reach Pokhara fo for a boating trip in the Phewa lake.

Day 3: Sarangkot Sunrise view & Pokhara tour

Early morning wake up and drive to Sarangkot for sunrise view. After breakfast transfer For Sightseeing of Pokhara city including the Davis fall, Gupteshwor cave, Bindabasani temple, Tibetan refugee camp and Seti river gorge. Free time in the afternoon for exploration.

You will get an early morning wake-up call from the reception as we need to drive 12 km from the city of Pokhara to see the sunrise and the Annapurna and the Dhaulagiri range. Your city guide will come to receive you after breakfast and drive towards the Davis fall.

Then cross the road and go to the Gupteshwor cave with a self-created statue of Lord Shiva and the view of Davis fall coming down from the other side. 5 minutes walk from the Gupteshwor cave is the Tibetan refugee camp where you can see Tibetan refugees doing different kinds of work for livelihood such as making carpets, making jewelry with semi-precious stones, and selling things to tourists. After spending some time here in the area, we head towards the Bindabasani temple and the Seti River gorge.

Day 4: Drive to Lumbini & explore

After breakfast, we start the drive along the Siddhartha highway to Lumbini (200km/7 hours). Sightseeing of the Maya Devi temple and surrounding monasteries in the evening.

We start our drive from Pokhara to Lumbini along the Siddhartha Highway. This is one of the most interesting drives from the hills to the plains. Along the way, you can see all the geographical features of Nepal from High mountains, Hills and the Terai plains. We make a lunch break at the historical area of Palpa, famous for the Dhaka topi and things made from Dhaka.

After reaching Lumbini in the afternoon we rest for a while and set out for the sightseeing of the Maya Devi Garden on foot. There are many monasteries made by different countries and institutions. Among them, the German Monastery by Tara foundation, the Nepal Government Monastery, the Chinese and Korean are the most interesting with a lot of philosophy in them. The birthplace of Buddha is a UNESCO world heritage site and the center of world peace.

Day 5: Drive to Chitwan & explore Tharu village

The drive from Lumbini to Chitwan is a scenic drive of 6 hours. The change in the vegetation and lifestyle of the people is very significant. We will reach Chitwan for Lunch on this day. After a brief rest, we take a walk through the village of the Tharu people, one of the famous indigenous groups in Nepal.

They are famous for the huts they live in and the unique culture they have which they brought with them from Rajasthan in India from where they migrated. After a brief walk in the village to understand better we will come back to the hotel to see the Tharu dance program, which is a collection of many different dances that are performed by Tharu in different festivals.

Day 6: Exploration day at Chitwan National Park

After breakfast, we go ahead for the canoeing and elephant breeding center visit. We go to the elephant bathing place, if you want to participate you can enjoy the shower on an elephant. After lunch Elephant safari and Nature walk.

Yes, you are in the periphery of the Chitwan national park, The best habitat for tropical animals and plants in Nepal. This is an exciting day ahead of you. After breakfast in the morning, we drive for a while from your jungle camp and go canoeing in the Budi Rapti river. The canoeing lasts for a maximum of 40 minutes and during those 40 minutes, you see at least 20 species of birds and 2 species of crocodiles basking in the sun. There are chances to see the one-horned rhino and other wild animals.

After the canoeing, we go to the elephant breeding center where female elephants are kept for breeding. You might also see a few small naughty ones coming to play with the visitors. We drive to the elephant bathing place in Sauraha. You can participate in elephant bathing if you want. It cost you 2-3 dollars for a shower on top of an elephant. We head back to the hotel for lunch and rest for a while. At around 3 pm we will go for the elephant ride inside the Chitwan national park which lasts for 2 hours. There you can see many animals including one-horned rhino, 4 species of deer, monkeys and many more.
