Nepal Tibet Overland Tour (Drive in - Drive out) Overview

Nepal Tibet Overland Tour is an exciting journey that offers you some of the best Himalayan landscapes and cultural settlements of the Himalayan highlands. It's a tour package that reflects traveling and passing overland while experiencing the pilgrimage centers in Kathmandu and the majestic views of Tibet.

This 15 nights 16 days trip takes you to Kathmandu, its world heritage sites, followed by a trip to Lhasa (Nepal-Tibet border). The maximum altitude you gain on your trip is 5220 meters (Gyatchu La Pass).

Touring in Kathmandu takes you to the famous temples and monuments giving you closer insights into the pre-historic civilization.

Our tour begins with sightseeing the UNESCO Heritage Site of Kathmandu. First, we will explore the popular palace - Kathmandu Durbar Square, an ancient squared palace surrounded by unique architectures as well as the palace of authority (former King) for ruling the country.

Next, we will visit the Pashupatinath temple, the most sacred site for the Hindus. Devotes from around the world make a visit to this temple all year round. Next is the Boudhanath Stupa (largest Stupa in South Asia) and the Swayambhunath temple, the chief pilgrimage site for the Buddhists.

Tibet, on the other hand, in the lap of the Himalayas is a plateau with great monasteries and the center to rediscover self. The mysticism of monks of Tibet has now been known to outsiders and no wonder if anyone is amazed when science is defied by the practice of Tibetan Buddhism.

This autonomous region of China is an open museum for understanding Tibetan Buddhism. The friendly people and great monuments display Tibet as an interesting place to visit.

This trip includes an overland trip from Kathmandu to Lhasa across the border between Nepal and Tibet. During your days in these cities, you will encounter some great mountain views, magnificent monuments, important and sacred landmarks, friendly people and their hospitality.
