This is the trek to the 2nd highest virgin peak of Tibet, Mount Jumolhari. This is one of the highest trekking in South Asia. Besides the great trekking experience, this trek also provides you an insight into the nomadic Tibetan style life. You can even see the activities of Yak herders and farmers living in the high Himalayas.
This 11 day Soi Yaksa trekking begins with a flight to Paro. Shortly after landing at Paro International Airport, you are taken for sightseeing in the city. The next day you go for the excursion in the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, commonly known as Paro Taktsang. With the start of the trek, you will be enjoying the environment in the Himalayan land by staying overnight in tented camp. You will cross several mountain highs passes which will surely check your adrenaline rush power.
Besides the great trekking experience, it is also a nice trip to understand the Bhutanese culture and traditions that remained hidden from the outside world until the mid-1970s.
(Note: Paro Taktsang is a sacred monastery built in the remembrance of Guru Padmasambhava. The locals believe that he had meditated here.)
