Everest View Trek Overview

Everest View Trek is a 13-day trek that focuses primarily on the beautiful views of the famous peaks of the Everest region and explores the traditions, cultures, and customs of the Sherpas.

The Everest View Point Trek is often referred to as the "Everest Panorama". It is so named thanks to the panoramic views offered from the Tengboche Monastery, the highest point we reach on this trip (3860 m).

Everest View Point Trek offers beautiful views of the peaks like Mt. Everest, Thamserku, Khanga, Khumbila, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse and many others that will delight us in premises of Tengboche monastery.

The trip is specially designed for those who do not want to walk to the EBC but at the same time want the impressive views of Everest and its surroundings. In addition, this trip can also be a great introduction to the countryside and culture of the Sherpas with panoramic views of the mountains.

As we hike through the Sagarmatha National Park, we experience the exotic Sherpa culture in the Sherpa villages and monasteries in Lukla, Phakding, Namche, Khumjung and Tengboche, an incredible landscape in the backdrop and a peak that touches the sky around it.

Everest View Point Trek Highlights

  • Short and relatively easy
  • Flight to Lukla with the spectacular aerial views of several mountains as well as other green hills and countryside of Nepal.
  • Scenic views Mt. Everest (8,849 m) with countless other mountain ranges including Ama Dablam (6,856 m), Thamserku (6,608 m), Nuptse, Lhotse, Thamserku, Khanga, Khumbial, and many more in the Everest Region.
  • Alternative to Everest Base Camp
  • Explore diversified flora and fauna of Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO-listed heritage site.
  • Introduction and interaction with local Sherpa people along with their unique culture and lifestyle.
  • Tengboche monastery - a significant Buddhist site and also a wonderful viewpoint.
  • Vibrant Mani Rimdu festival in Tengboche monastery during the fall season, fixed according to the Tibetan Lunar calendar.

Trek Route

Our trek starts with a beautiful mountain flight to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. From here we pass through the lush rhododendron and pine forests of the Sagarmatha National Park and reach the Namche Bazaar (3440 m). In Namche, a rest day is allocated for acclimatization and further draft preparation.

The next day we trek to the Tengboche Monastery (3860 m), one of the striking places in the Everest region. Tengboche is known among photographers as one of the fantastic places to limit yourself to the wonderful appeal of Mt. Everest (8848 m), Ama Dablam and their adjacent mountains.

The final viewpoint in the vicinity of Tengboche monastery justifies the name - Everest View Point. Moreover, his trek can be described as a mini Everest base camp trek for trekkers who are unable to reach the base camp due to the risk of elevation or mountain sickness.

Mani Rimdu festival in the Tengboche monastery is also very special which is on many travelers' wishlist. Likewise, a visit to Syangboche will also provide you the most dazzling view of Everest and dozens of other Khumbu peaks.

Ideal Time to Everest View Trek

The Everest area can be visited all year, but the spring (March to May) and fall (late September to early November) are the best times with good weather and pleasant temperatures. Summer (late June to early September) brings clouds and possible flight delays out of Lukla, and winter (late November to February) can be very cold with below-freezing temperatures—especially above Namche Bazaar.

Nonetheless, these offseasons are also a fantastic chance to get a more special Everest outlook experience. The sky still clears up once you ascend above Namche Bazaar, even during the monsoon. Over the winter, there will be very few people on the trail, and the villages and valleys will be lightly dusted with snow. Teahouses would be more open and welcoming as well.
