Trip Route

Your trek starts at Beshi Sahar taking you through Dharapani, Chame, Manang, etc. to Thorong Phedi or the High Camp. From here you make your way to the renowned Muktinath Temple (one of the holiest Hindu pilgrimage sites in the world) via Thorong La. Attain peace in this holy location and continue towards your final journey.

On the way, you can find the different ethnic groups such as Sherpas, Bhotias, and Thakalis, with their own unique culture and way of life. Many lakes including the highest lake of the world - Tilicho, beautiful landscapes, rare flora, fauna as well as can get a chance to interact and indulge with the kind and humble local people are all amazing plus points of the rote.

The trail from Annapurna to Manang passes on through the stone-walled villages, deep gorge of Marshyangdi River, monasteries, chortens, etc. The higher you move the better views you will get. Many travel magazines and online partners have listed this destination as a must-visit place in Nepal.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Once you arrive at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative of Himalayan trekkers in a traditional way and also also help you transfer to the hotel

Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley & trek preparation
5-6 hrs
Max Altitude: 1,350 m

You can spend this day exploring some of the World heritage sites such as Swayambhunath Stupa, Bouddhanath and Durbar Square in Kathmandu valley. Later in the afternoon, you can engage in trek preparation.

Day 3: Drive to Khudi

After breakfast, you will have a scenic drive to Khudi. On the way, you can see the beautiful landscapes, mountain views, and terraced farms. After crossing Dumre, you will drive to Beshisahar. In about one & half hours from there, you will reach Khudi which offers you the mesmerizing tranquil of Manaslu Range. Overnight at Khudi.

Day 4: Trek to Sirung
6-7 hrs
Max Altitude: 2,200 m

It will be the first day of the trek. After breakfast, you will gradually move across the lush green forest along with an amalgam view of the Himalayan ranges. Though the trail will be a bit steep. On reaching Sirung, the sight and the people will welcome you in such a warm and humble way that you will forget all the stress and anxiety. Overnight at Sirung.

Day 5: Trek to Jagat
6-7 hrs

After breakfast, you will walk towards Jagat crossing through the Marshyangdi River. On the way, you can spot different kinds of flora and fauna as well as a variety of birds. After crossing the suspension bridge, you will reach towards Jagat. Overnight at Jagat.

Day 6: Trek to Dharapani
7-8 hrs

After a warm breakfast, you will slowly trek through a dense forest and cross over a river. On the trail, you can view the mesmerizing Chyamje waterfall. Moving forward the trail of the rugged and grassy riverbank, you will reach towards Dharapani.

Day 7: Trek to Chame

Today you will move forward having an amalgam view of Lamjung, Annapurna and other snowcapped peaks. After a gradual walk, you will reach the hot spring, where you can chill and dip into the pond for some time and then continue to reach Chame. Overnight at Chame.

Day 8: Trek to Pisang
5-6 hrs
Max Altitude: 3,300 m

After breakfast, you will follow the path through the jagged green forest and the rocky trail. You can take some clips and enjoy the serenity. It would be ideal to follow the upper Pisang path if you prefer to escape the crowd. The upper Pisang offers you unique landscapes, beautiful views of the Himalayas and the mesmerizing serene nature/surrounding. After walking for some time, you will reach Pisang for an overnight stay.

Day 9: Trek to Manang

Manang is a popular village which can be very exciting. Today you will follow the trail to reach Manang. You will cross through the beautiful landscapes, unique vegetation, cold and dry environment and the Braga monastery on the way. Overnight at Manang.

Day 10: Acclimatization & exploration in Manang
3-4 hrs hike

You will hike & explore around Manang and prepare for the trek of the next day. Explore around Bhojo Gumba and also be visit the Himalayan Rescue Association with your guide, which will provide detail information about the high altitude sickness. Chitchat with locals might be interesting. There are mainly Gurung, Magars and Bhotias etnic groups. Having a tranquil view of the Annapurna II, III, Gangapurna and Tilicho Peaks with rocky landscapes and unique settlements might fill you with joy and will definitely blow your mind away. Overnight at Manang.

Day 11: Trek to Yak Kharka

After breakfast, you will follow the stream and climb along the trail passing through the Pine and Juniper trees. On the way, you can see the Horses and Yaks grazing, Mani Walls, the cluster of mud roofs, rivers as well as the village where you can observe the lifestyle and culture of the local people. Overnight at Yak Kharka.

Day 12: Trek to Thorong Phedi

After breakfast, you will climb uphill to reach Thorang Phedi. You will pass through the cliffs where you can have a mesmerizing view of the snowcapped mountains and the beautiful landscapes. Overnight at Thorang Phedi.

Day 13: Trek to Muktinath via Thorong La Pass
7-8 hrs
Max Altitude: 5,416 m

Today is a long trek starting at 4 am, before sunrise, in order to reach the pass by 9 to10 am. Otherwise, weather conditions (strong winds) will greatly affect the journey, particularly at the Thorong La Pass. We climb steeply on a regular route which is quite easy to follow. However, some problems may arise due to altitude and snow. It is often problematic to cross the pass if it is covered by heavy snow. After four hours of climbing marked by the chortens and prayer flags, we will be rewarded with stunning views from the top of the pass. Then, we reach Muktinath Temple.

Muktinath means place of nirvana and is home to the Muktinath Temple as well as several monasteries. It is said that all the sorrows we feel are relieved upon visiting the Temple. It is a sacred pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. The prime pilgrimage month is September. The Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and has 108 waterspouts around it. Another attraction nearby is the Jwala Mai Temple which has a gorgeous natural spring and an eternal flame fueled by natural gas.

Day 14: Trek to Marpha
4-5 hrs
Max Altitude: 2,670 m

Today, early in the morning you can again visit Muktinath and pay homage to Lord Vishnu if you are interested and have some time. Then, you will move downwards to Kagbeni then to Jomsom and finally reach Marpha. Marpha is famous for apple orchards. You can take pictures and enjoy the apples as well as the local Brandy (Apple) there. The villages of Marpha are quite unique and different providing a rare experience.

Day 15: Trek to Kalopani

Max Altitude: 2,530 m

After breakfast, you will move forward towards the traditional villages of Thakali and Manangi. You can see beautiful views of the mountains as well as the apple trees along the trails. Overnight at Kalopani.

Day 16: Trek to Tatopani
6-7 hrs
Max Altitude: 1,190 m

Today you will gradually move downwards with a view of lush green vegetation, mountains, Rupse waterfall, and subtropical forest. After reaching Tatopani, you can dip into the hot spring and relax for some time. Overnight at Tatopani.

Day 17: Trek to Ghorepani
7-8 hrs
Max Altitude: 2,850 m

After breakfast, you will move forward to reach Ghorepani. On the way, you can have mesmerizing views of the Rhododendron blooming and the mountains all around. After a gradual walk, you will reach a beautiful village, Ghorepani. Overnight at Ghorepani.

Day 18: Trek to Poon Hill & to Tadapani
6-7 hrs
Max Altitude: 3,210 m

Early morning hike up towards the viewpoint of Poonhill for sunrise over the Himalayas, where you can see the beautiful and mesmerizing mountains. You can have closer views of the landscapes and snow-capped mountains like Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges, which makes you fall in love with nature. Poonhill is known as one of the most beautiful Himalayan viewpoints in the world to have an amalgam view of the mountains above 8000m. You, then, trek back to Ghorepani for breakfast and then towards Tadapani. Having a similar Himalayan view through the dense rhododendron forest might be quite a good experience once you reach on top of the Gurung hill. After that you will descend down to Tadapani.

Day 19: Trek to Syauli Bazar & drive to Pokhara
5 hrs trek & 2 hrs drive
Max Altitude: 895 m

Early morning sunrise view from Tadapani will give you immense pleasures where you can see the Mountains looking like a fireball. You will enjoy a breakfast before starting the trek. You will cross across the dense and lush green forest of pine, rhododendron trees and if it is the right season you can have an amalgam view of the Cherry Blossom blooming on the lap of Mountains. You can also get indulged with the Gurung Settlements in Ghandruk which is one of the most popular villages for Gorkhas. You can enjoy the serene view of the snow-covered mountains like Fishtail, Himchuli, Annapurna South, Gangapurna, etc. It might be interesting to visit the Gurung Museum. Then you will trek to Syaulibazar from where you catch your private vehicle to Pokhara to conclude your trek. Evening walks around Lakeside Pokhara will be exhilarating. Overnight.

Day 20: Fly/Drive back to Kathmandu

Depending upon your time and interest you can take your private vehicle/flight/scheduled tourist bus to reach Kathmandu. In the evening walk around Thamel and maybe do some shopping. Overnight in Kathmandu.

In general, we arrange a 3* Standard Category Accommodations with all facilities in cities. If available, you can opt for a more budget-friendly option or upgrade to a more luxurious hotel by paying a little extra.

Although all places during your trek do not have all modern facilities (especially at higher altitudes), we ensure that it is arranged safely and comfortably. Mostly hygienic and safe tea houses / local lodges/homestays are arranged & please feel free to personalize according to your preference.

If your travel schedule includes camping or if you choose to experience it, a correct campsite will be determined in advance and everything will be taken care of. Meals

Breakfast is usually included with your accommodation within the costs. Meals in the city must be paid separately. Often in the cities, you can choose from many different cuisines and varied food services. We can always help you find the right place.
