Permits and FeesNorthern sides of the region are more or less covered with the boundaries of the Langtang National park. You have to get the entry permits from the Kathmandu before you begin the trek. ClimateThis is one of the elevated areas so the temperature is quite lower. When you trek at the higher level, temperature begins to fall. Mornings are generally clear, with some clouds at afternoon and vanishing at night time. It is not recommended to trek at the Monsoon time because the brightness and visibility during Monsoon time is very low and limited. You can trek at the time of winter, but it is very much colder than spring and autumn.
People and CultureLangtang is the residence of various ethnic groups. Tamang, Bhotia and Sherpa are the majority of people residing here. They follow Bon and the pre-Buddhist principles of Tibet. Nowadays, this religion has compound with the latest and new teachings of Tibetan Buddhism.
Flora and FaunaLangtang region is rich in its different variety of natural majesties from green valley alive with Monkeys (Langur) to the tall rhododendrons and fir forests full of color of spring. Trekking Styles / TypesMost of the trekking routes in the Langtang region it is difficult to find teahouse or guest house so the trekkers will get chance to accommodate in the camping trek. In some places there are well serviced by teahouses for most of their length. Trekkers should be aware, however that there is always the risk of being stranded by bad weather or injury/sickness between teahouses, particularly in the more remote parts of the trek itineraries.
This trekking trail is varying from Moderate to fairly challenging and this is quite loved and demanding trek in Nepal. It comprises about 6 to 8 hours of walking on up and down but clear paths. AccommodationHere, you should understand that camping trek means sleep inside the tents. On a camping trek, the tents basically used are as ‘Two Men Dome’ or ‘A’ shaped tents. You will be provided foam mattress with liningbelow. Trekkers should have their own sleeping bag. You can use bag or clothes as pillow. If you want, you can bring and use your own ‘Air Pillow’.

FoodMeals are set by our cook and supporting crew members. Generally, we serve daily three delicious and hygienic meals along with drinks. However, during your stay in teahouse or guesthouse you can take food arranged by them.
WaterOnly on the camping trek our squad of cook and helpers will provide you safe and pure water with boiling facility. And they also make foods which are safe because of the use of potassium permanganate or iodine. On GAP trek and lodge trek the above mentioned facility are not available and you have to buy safe and pure water or you can also buy some hot water and drinks by yourself.
Luggage while TrekkingWhile trekking, your stuffs and baggage will be carried by our porters. You can simply carry a light day pack including camera, water bottle, spare jacket, sun screen etc. A small baggage will helps you to take full enjoyment of the trekking. A small trek bag pack is good for your main bag, including a small bag pack for clothes or any stuff you don’t use during trek which you can just leave at the locker of respective hotel. Weight payment at domestic airlines of Nepal is not more than 15 kgs, and they will charge USD 1/ kg for excess weight.
CommunicationCommunication is not available easily and there are couples of telephone services available in for couple of days or weeks. Your mobile phone works very well in some of the places while trekking.

Typical Day on Trek

Gear for Trekking PeakMany travelers and climbers expend a huge amount of money that is totally useless. What to expectWhen the day is good with the sunlight and if there is no wind then the thermal top is sufficient which is back up the light jacket or wind proof jacket for rest stops and you need a windproof breathable jacket for when the wind picks up.
Gear listWe will take for granted that you have all the necessary mountaineering equipment’s or gears like warm hat etc. You can have a large number of gears or equipment’s obtainable from our side or you can hire in the Kathmandu. You should have to pay some dues for the gears which will be charge by the day basis.

Sleeping bag You need a sleeping bag. The bag should be down-filled bags which is best for 4-5 seasons and they are the finest to carry because at the height nights will be cold and cold night are the most worse things while trekking.
Sleeping bag liner The sleeping bags liner is made of the silk, cotton or fleece. It saves time of washing your sleeping and provides extra warm. The sleeping bags made by cotton or silk can be made in Kathmandu but we recommend you to bring from home because it saves your time and money. The bag made of fleece is ready made and easily available in Kathmandu and will cost you next to nothing.
