Itinerary in Detail

Day 01:  Arrival and transfer to Kopan for home stay. 
You will be picked up at the airport by our representative and transferred to Kopan area near by the Kopan Monastery. The drive is about 20 minutes from the airport. After a refreshing lunch you can roam around Kopan before we start the program from tomorrow.

Day 02:  Full day sightseeing of Kathmandu valley including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath and Boudhanath.
Kathmandu valley has the highest number of world heritage sites within the radius of 20Km. Today after a warm breakfast prepared by your home stay host we drive to the 3 world heritage sites Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath and Boudhanath. Kathmandu Durbar square is a 17th century palace area with the house of Kumari and many other historical and religious monuments. Swayambhunath often referred as the Monkey temple is one of the most ancient monuments in Kathmandu valley and offers a 270 degree view of the city. Boudhanath area is the little Tibet in Kathmandu with a 36 meters high stupa with the impressive eyes of Buddha in 4 directions.

Day 03:  Drive to Pokhara (200 km/7 hours)
We drive to the Lake city of Pokhara and in the evening we do boating in the Phewa Lake, the second biggest lake in Nepal. Pokhara is a thriving tourist area with a close view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range. Fishtail dominates the skyline of Pokhara with a height of almost 7000m. Home stay nearby Pokhara.

Day 04:  Drive to Palpa (120km/4 hours)
The city of Palpa is famous for the Dhaka topi, the national hat of Nepal. Besides that the Srinagar hill which can be reached after half an hour of hike offers a majestic view of the Western Himalayas of Nepal including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail and Manaslu. Home stay at Palpa.

Day 05:  Walk to Sirubari from Palpa (Maximum 3 hours)
After breakfast we walk for little more than two hours and reach the Village of Sirubari. This village is the pioneer of Home stay concept in Nepal. This scenic village of Gurung Community is situated at 1700m from sea level. You will receive a grand welcome with local musical instruments and garlands (rhododendron garlands if you travel in March/April).

 Day 06:  Full day activities with the local home stay host in the village.
Sirubari has a lot to offer. Besides exploring the local village and the hospitality of Nepalese home stay. You can see and participate in the seasonal farming and might get a chance to take the animals for grazing along with the villagers. If you like swimming there are natural pools with crystal clear water but the temperature is not very friendly for swimming. In the evening the mothers group will organize a musical program where you can sing and dance with the local villagers.

Day 07:  Free in the morning and drive to Pokhara.
In the morning we will spend time in a leisurely manner. You can do a short hike before we depart to Pokhara or enjoy tea with the view of the mountains.

Day 08:  Drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 9:  Final departure.
