Permits and Fees
As long as trekkers refrain from climbing up mountains, no special trekking permits are required for visiting this area. An entry fee paid before entering the Sagarmatha National Park is all one needs to pay and this can be taken care of at the National Park desk in Thamel. However for treks to the east of the main Everest trail, an addition permit is required to enter the Makalu-Barun National Park obtainable from the same location in Thamel. Visitors must also carry a TIMS card obtainable free of cost from the Nepal Tourism Board office when they enter this national park.
Climate and best time to visitThe perfect time to trek to the Everest base camp area is Autumn (mid – September till the end of November) and spring (March until mid-May). Temperature will fall significantly as you trek higher each day. The nights are cold (between -10 C to 5C) but the days are sunny and hot (between 10C to 20C). the mornings are generally pleasant and calm as well as clear, with some clouds are seen in the time of afternoon, and that also disappear at the time of night. We don’t recommend you to trek at the time of monsoon and winter because of the poor visibility. Also at the time of winter, the upper parts and the high passes are also covered with snow.

People & CultureMostly people living in this area are Sherpa. Sherpas exists in the upper area of Solu Khumbu. They came hera from the Tibet approximately 600 years ago. Climate, Flora & FaunaThe weather of the Everest area can be categorized in mainly four climatic zones due to the steady increase in height. These areas covered a forested lower zone, a zone of alpine scrub, the upper alpine zone which covers the greater edge of plants development, whereas in the Arctic zone you cannot find any plants because plants cannot fertile there. There are different types of flora and fauna found in this region and they are varying due to the altitude. In the lower part of the forest we find birch, juniper, blue pines, firs, bamboo and rhododendron and so on. Shrubs is only one vegetation which are found largely above this area. As the height increases the plant decreases and only we find lichens and mosses. The height of 5,750 m is the enduring snow line in the lap of Himalayas. We cannot see any green forest from this point. This point is the deadline of the greenery. Hairy yak is common animal we see here. At the height also we find this animal carrying load. It is also used as a transportation medium. We also find Dzopkyo is a male crossbreed between a yak and cow. And it is used to carry loads from one place to another place. We will see this in the path while trekking. Snow leopard, Red panda, wild yak, musk deer and Himalayan black bear are some of the animals found in this area. We can also find the variety of birds in the lower part.
Meals & AccomodationWhile trekking in the Solu Khumbu area i.e. Everest area, you doesn’t require marvelous logistics relevant to the accommodation. Here you will find several sparkling and gracious hotels in the path. we will stay in the single room wherever we will get but most of the time we have to share our room. Generally, rooms are good with well equipped materials with a bed, pillow and blankets. But a very little room has an electric lights and each and every one has a large dining room. We will keep you and your teammate in a local hotels or guest houses accessible each day. We always send a porter in advance of us to reserve us the requisite rooms you and your teammate because rooms cannot be booked in advance here. Don’t forget to keep in mind that some of the rooms are very normal but you need to have an adventurous mind. It is not expensive to reside in the hotels or lodges but it is expensive to have a camping trek.
You have to understand that camping trek denotes sleeping in the tents rather than staying in hotels or lodges. On the camping trek the tents provided are ‘Two men dome’ or ‘A’ shaped. You will be provided a foam mattress with padding beneath is given for sleeping. You should have your own sleeping bags. You can use you stuffs like hand bags and clothes as your pillow. If you want then you can bring yourself 'Air pillow'
WaterOnly on the camping trek our squad of cook and helpers will provide you safe and pure water with boiling facility. And they also make foods which are safe because of the use of potassium permanganate or iodine. On GAP trek and lodge trek the above mentioned facility are not available and you have to buy safe and pure water or you can also buy some hot water and drinks by yourself.
We highly advise you to ring some water sanitization tablets for your good health. On the way we will get pure water which are from the stream is always healthy and safe but some precaution is needed.
Flight / Land transfersommThe initial point to start the trek is from Lukla which is associated by a 45 minutes of air travel from Kathmandu. We will organize the vehicle from your particular hotel to the desired airport (Kathmandu). While coming back to Kathmandu our personal car will receive you to the hotel.
CommunicationCommunication is not available easily and there are couples of telephone services available in the Everest area up to the Namche bazaar. Your mobile phone works very well up to Everest Base Camp except some terrible network places.
If it is emergency for you to keep in touch with your relatives, family members and friends then in that case we can arrange you a mobile satellite phone. You have to pay some price for that and which is rental charge on your request.
Trekking gears and equipmentTrekking: while doing trekking you should have your walking shoes i.e. boots, sleeping bag (4 seasons/ -20C rated), waterproof jacket and trousers, fleece jacket, warm hat and gloves, sunglasses, water bottle, sun-screen and day pack.

Typical day on trek Lodge/ Tea House Trek, GAP Trek & Camping TrekEvery morning you have to pack your bags and other necessary equipments and then have a delicious breakfast. After that we will go for the day's walk. After having a short walk of 3 – 4 hours we will stop for our lunch at midday. After we start our afternoon walk which is normally shorter and we generally reach at our desired place in the time of afternoon tea. The remaining day we can spend by roaming the village, snapping a beautiful photos, chatting with the local people, doing washing, bathing and just you can simply relax by doing your own. On the particular days we will reach at our desired place by mealtime and whole afternoon will be free and you can do whatever you like to relax your mind and body. After the dinner, the evening time will be used up by playing cards or by doing other extra activities for the fun or we can simply exchange the experience of the day. After we will go for the sound sleep which is much required in our trip.
On the other hand, on the Camping trek, you start your daylight with the hot and delicious cup of tea which will be given to you on your tent at approximately 6 am. After that you will be served with a hot water for washing and for your daily activities. And rest day actions are same as stated already above

Rescue / EvacuationsWe have services of rescue if some serious sickness or casualty happens, but we pray god not to not to happen that and we are also confident that it won't happen. We will use our whole manpower to take you to the nearest hospital. In view of the fact that you are completely, legally responsible for all the expenditure incurred in evacuation please make clear in your mind that it is enclosed by your insurance earlier than transmission for it or be ready to pay on your own after receiving back to Kathmandu.
GEAR FOR TREKKING PEAKMany travelers and climbers expend a huge amount of money that is totally useless. So you should be careful and conscious while spending money and buying a trekking equipments or gears. So you should have good knowledge that you need and what you don’t need. What to expectWhen the day is good with the sunlight and if there is no wind then the thermal top is sufficient which is back up the light jacket or wind proof jacket for rest stops and you need a windproof breathable jacket for when the wind picks up.
Gear listWe will take for granted that you have all the necessary mountaineering equipments or gears like warm hat etc. You can have a large number of gears or equipments obtainable from our side or you can hire in the Kathmandu. You should have to pay some dues for the gears which will be charge by the day basis.
