Day 01, Arrive Kathmandu
Arrive at Kathmandu after a scenic flight over the mountains. Meet the representative of Adventure Mission Nepal Treks & Expedition (AMN) and transfer to Hotel.
Day 02, explore the city and prepare for the trek.
You can spend this day exploring some of the World heritage sites in Kathmandu valley for some time and prepare for the trek in the afternoon.
Day 03, Drive to Sundarijal & Trek to Chisapani
We will take a half an hour drive to Sundarijal from the city to reach the trek starting point. We will start walking up onto a ridge and enter the Shivapuri National park area and walk through lush green forest and streams that serve as main source of water in the Kathmandu valley. The forest is full of epiphytic ferns, orchids, rhododendron plants and other exotic and beautiful flowers. We will walk for around 5 hours through the forest area from Sundarijal to Chisapani (2300m) for overnight stay.
Day 04, Trek to Gul Bhanjyang (2130m)
We will start walking towards Gul Bhanjyang today for overnight stay. We will walk for around 6 hours today through forest and few settlements. We will walk past the villages of Patti Bhanjyang and Chipling which have majority of Tamang community but all ethnic groups Chhetris, Brahmins and Newars also live with great harmony in these villages.
Day 05, Trek to Magen Goth (3150m)
After breakfast we will walk for couple of hours to reach the first village on the way, Kutumsang (2470m.) We will slightly walk uphill through terraced fields, meadows and forest as the trail starts changing character as we will be walking from warm, terraced and populated 'middle hills' to the higher, and refreshingly cooler, 'temperate' and 'sub-alpine' zones. By the time we reach the top of the climb, we are in amongst rhododendrons and conifers. 5 hours of walk from Gul Bhanjyang we will reach Magen Goth for overnight stay.
Day 06, Trek to Phedi (3500m)
An excellent morning's walking takes us back up onto the main ridge, with sensational views across a middle ground of blue ridges, to the peaks of the Rolwaling and the western Khumbu. Our trail now swings away from the ridge and crosses some very steep ground at the head of the valley of the Tadi Khola, aiming for the distant Laurebina La. The path takes a series of quite short but steep ups and downs, past the tiny settlement of Ghopte, to the equally small one of Phedi (3500m.) where we stay overnight at camp.
Day 07, Trek to Laurebinayak (3950m)
Today is the most exciting part of the trek and the trail is very steep as it leads to Laurebinayak (4610m.), the highest point of the trek. We will walk on the well defined trail through the pastures and small crags and take a short descend down the ridge. From here you can see the Manaslu, Langtang, Ganesh Himal and other famous mountains. We will have the stay of the night in one of the lodges here.
Day 08, Dhunche (1950m)
Today we will walk for 5 hours down the hill to reach Dhunche; the administrative headquarter of Rasuwa District. It is a pleasant walk, with the white mass of Langtang Lirung to our right, with the Ganesh Himal in front and pines, barberries and rhododendron. Overnight at Dhunche.
Day 09, Drive back to Kathmandu
After ending the trek at Dhunche we will take a bus ride back to Kathmandu.
Day 10, Depart Kathmandu to reach another destination or fly back home with memories of the trek.
You can depart from Kathmandu to your home country or extend the trip and head for another trip within or outside Nepal.
