Bunge Jump was started by some youths of Pentecost Islands in the South Pacific using ivies as cords to jump from a 30m high Bamboo tower. Since then the technology has become more and more advanced and nowadays much safer and much more challenging jumps are made throughout the world. The third highest Bunge Jump in the world is in Nepal 12 km inside e the Nepal Tibet border. You jump from a 160 m high bridge into the Bhote Koshi and the only thing between you is the strong chord that is tied in your legs. We don’t recommend this ultra adventure to people with the following heath issues-
- Heart disease
- High blood pressure,
- Addiction to alcohol or drugs,
- Orthopedic problems,
- Psychological problems,
- Neurological problems.
We drive for 3 hours in the Arniko Highway and reach the Last resort where the Bunge takes place from a 166m long steel suspension bridge over the Bhote Koshi River gorge. The bridge is made from a Swiss technology specially supporting the Bunge Jump and has the load capacity of 4.5 tones. Depending upon the time you have you can do other activites in the area such as rafting, cannoning and short hikes. You can do a day trip to the Last resort or buy a multiday tour for added fun.
