Aug 17 Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival
After arrival in the International airport at Kathmandu you will be greeted by our representative from Adventure Mission Nepal (AMN) Treks and transfer to hotel. After having some rest there we will be discussing about the trek details and necessary equipments that you need while trekking. We will organize a welcome dinner at the traditional Nepalese restaurant with fine meal at the evening and overnight at hotel.
Aug 18 Days 02: Drive Kathmandu to Dhunche (1460 m)
On this day at morning around 7.00 am we depart from Kathmandu and drive to Dhunche which is at the elevation of 1460 m. We stay overnight at Guest House.
Aug 19 Day 03: Dhunche to Sing Gompa (3330m)
This is a 6 hours walk from Dhunche. We will get chance to see the scenic beauty of the Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, Tibetan Mountain and forests of Oak, Hemlock and Fir. After a short distance, we arrive at Sing Gompa. We would find well manages local cheese factory and Buddhist Monastery at Sing Gompa too.
Aug 20 Day 04: Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda (4460m.) Preparation of festival.
On this day we walk from Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda at 4460 m. through Lauribinayak La at 3920 m. We would follow a rocky and rough path with magnificent view of Himal Chuli (7893m.,) Manaslu (8156m,) and Ganesh Himal (7406m). On a clear sky we can see the Annapurna range as well as Langtang Lirung. At Gosainkunda, we would see the dozen of lakes and among them the main three lakes are: Saraswati Kunda, Bharab Kunda and Gosainkunda. According to the Hindu Myth, Gosainkunda was formed by Shiva when he perforated a glacier with his trident to get a water to satisfy his thirst after having swallowed poison. Thousands of pilgrims from India and Nepal gather here for the festival tomorrow. You can see hundreds of Shamans on this day awaking whole night showing different powers they have. This is the biggest Hindu festival of the Shamans. Traditional faith healers called jhankris, dressed in belted white robes and crowned with porcupine quills and peacock feathers, perform ritual dances to throbbing drumbeats night and day. The Shamans show their skills to their teachers to qualify for the post of a village Shaman on this day.
Aug 21 Day 05: Gosainkunda to Lauri binayak (3250m) Janai Purnima Festival day.
This is the festival day where the Hindus change the scared thread on their torso. The pilgrims that have gathered here last day will take a dip in the cold water of Gosai Kunda and doing so helps to get rid of the sins they have committed. After observing the festival in the morning on the day Gosainkunda to Lauribinayak at 3250 m. Our path moves down all the way to Sing Gompa passing through the Lauribinayak. We would see the mouthwatering mountain views along the path. We would trek through the forests while going to Sing Gompa.
Aug 22 Day 06: Lauri Binayak to Dhunche (1950m)
Today we walk from Lauribinayak to Dhunche which takes us approximately six hours. The initial fraction of the path moves down through the Pine, Silver Oak and Rhododendron forests with Marijuana plants up to suspension bridge over the Sing Gompa stream. From this place, our trail goes even through some human settlements and reaches Dhunche also the headquarters of Rasuwa district.
Aug 23 Day 07: Dhunche Kathmandu. (2175m)
Today we dive back to Kathmandu from Dhunche. It is attractive and interesting to enter into the rural settlements on the way back to Kathmandu. Upon the arrival in Kathmandu,
