Best of Jungle Safari in Nepal tour 7 nights / 8 days
This 7 night’s 8 days program takes you to some of the most wildlife inhabitated area in south Asia. This program includes two of the best jungle safari destinations in Nepal, Chitwan National park and Bardia National Park. Chitwan national park is the biggest National park of Nepal and covers an area of 932 Sq.Km. It was designated as a national park in 1984. During the Rana Rule in Nepal it used to be the Hunting ground of the British and Nepalese Royal family and high ranking officials, which helped in depleting the number of wild life species, especially one horned Rhino and Bengal Tiger. After being listed as a protected area the number of animals has gone up significantly and Chitwan has become of the major tourist attraction of Nepal. The trip starts with a drive to Chitwan from Kathmandu. The activities include Tharu Cultural dance, Tharu Village exploration, Elephant Back Safari, Visit to the elephant breeding center, Canoeing and Bird watching. Bardia national park covers 968 sq.km areas including the Buffer zone. The Bardia National park is habitat of many rare mammals, reptilians and bird species. The most notable are Bengal tiger, one horned Rhino, swamp deer, Gangetic dolphin and many more. The visit to Bardia by Titanic star Leonardo Dicaprio and his commitment to tiger conservation in Bardia has made it more famous in the world recently. Similar to other national parks in Nepal you can do jeep safari, Elephant safari (nowadays in the Tharu village as private elephants are not allowed inside the park), bird watching and canoeing/boating in the Karnali River, the longest river in Nepal.
