The Ghorepani /Poonhill trek is also referred as the Annapurna Sunrise view trek. Starting from Pokhara, this trek takes you to some of the best Himalayan locations in the Annapurna region. This is a short but one of the most fascinating trek in the Himalayan region. This trek is regarded best for beginners as the trails are well defined and the walking is not much demanding. Walking past villages like Ghorepani, Ulleri, Ghandruk you get a true picture of the Nepalese life and you can understand the degree of cooperation between different ethnic groups that live together or close by. The Trek starts from Pokhara and can be ended at Pokhara or Beni to Drive to Kathmandu.

  2. Day 01:  Trek to Ulleri
    We will take a drive of an hour to reach Nayapul from Pokhara after breakfast and start walking. We will walk past sub tropical valley forests, sometimes on the carved trail on the side of the cliff. After walking through Tikhedhunga we will reach the base of the hill that has around 3500 steps that lead to the village of Ulleri, where we will spend the night.

    Day 02:  Trek to Ghorepani
    We start walking in the morning after breakfast along the path that leads to the rhodendrons forest and you can see the Annapurna South, hidden by a ridge smiling at you. We will walk past the villages of Banthanti and Nangathanti through the forest to reach Ghorepani. Ghorepani is a settlement of Poon Magars and has the biggest collection of rhododendron.

    Day 03:  Trek to Poon Hill - Tatopani
    We will hike to Poonhill [3210m], early morning for 45 minutes for sunrise view over the Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri range and other smaller ranges, and after breakfast we will leave Ghorepani through the rhododendron forest amidst the magnificent natural vistas. We will walk down hill for most of the day as we walk past Sikha and Chitre until we reach Tatopani. The trail has a huge collection of rhododendrons and we can witness the mountains like Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Annapurna and Thorang peak on the frontier line during the entire day. Tatopani is famous for hot water springs where you can take a dip and feel relaxed.

    Day 04:  Trek to Beni
    We will walk for around 6 hours until we reach Beni today. If you wish to ride a local bus you can ride it from Tatopani to reach Beni but walking is much fun through the forest of Oak, Bamboo and Rhododendron.   The view of farming terrace and landscape is also magnificent, especially the different images than the imaginary. Overnight at Beni. If you drive to Beni the same day you can reach Pokhara for overnight.

    Day 05:  Beni to Pokhara
    After breakfast we will take a bus ride to Pokhara/Kathmandu.

    Note: This itinerary is only a guideline and we can customize it as per your request. You can add rest days in between, ask for an alternate route (if available) and add other destinations like Pokhara and Chitwan if you wish to visit any before or after the trek. We can arrange for trips to Bhutan, Tibet or India upon your request before you travel back to your home country
